Richard Bennett joined the Chief Constable's Management Team in August 2011 as ACC for Neighbourhood Policing and Partnerships.

Richard, who has been with the Force for nearly 25 years, began his career with Thames Valley Police in Maidenhead.

He has worked in a wide range of roles, including as a tutor at Bramshill on the Accelerated Promotion Course, a chief inspector at Wycombe, superintendent at Reading, headed up ICT at Headquarters, and been Basic Command Unit Commander for Berkshire West and, most recently, at the National Policing Improvement Agency.

Richard is responsible for the delivery of Neighbourhood Policing, tackling anti-social behaviour, and the development of strategic partnerships. He will lead for the Force on criminal justice, diversity and mental health. He also has ownership of the extended police family and will be responsible for policing in Buckinghamshire.
