All business transactions with Thames Valley Police will normally be conducted under the terms of the Thames Valley Police Standard Conditions of Contract, unless a formal contract has been entered into with different terms.

European Union public procurement directives
Under European public procurement directives, public sector procurement must follow transparent procedures to ensure fair conditions of competition for all suppliers.
The public procurement threshold values above which the majority of contracts must be advertised in compliance with European Union requirements are:
- Supplies - £173,934
- Services - £173,934
- Works - £4,348,350
Contracts for lower values are subject to tender or quotation in accordance with the Police Authority’s Financial Regulations.
