Risk Security Services

Why we are supporting Project Griffin

Risk Security ServicesRisk Security Services (opens new window) has a large customer base both public and private sector throughout the Thames Valley that includes many locations used by members of the public. We also have a large number of operations and projects where the business of our customer is particularly sensitive and may attract interest from extremist groups.

There are many synergies between the pursuits of our operational team and that of Project Griffin with regards to raising the awareness of terrorism and the prevention of serious crime. This is an intrinsic part of the service we provide to all our customers and the involvement with Project Griffin will further enhance the safety and security of those we work with.

We fully believe in working as a true partner with Thames Valley Police to raise awareness of terrorism and crime and to develop strategies that can be implemented to create a safe and secure working environment.

It is vital that as a security company and as a member of the general business community we are linked with other like minded organisations to help reduce the risk we all face from terrorism and to enable people to go about their business freely and safely. Our involvement in this project will enable us to work closely with Thames Valley Police in support of the National Counter Terrorism Strategy and to deny terrorist and activist groups the space in which they thrive.

Project Griffin will play a major part in our own day to day operations to raise awareness of terrorism and crime within our security teams and in working with our customers to provide an aid in combating serious crime.

Our involvement within this project also provides a true demonstration of our belief in the benefits of the wider police community and how involvement from businesses can offer effective support in combating terrorism.
