Operation Rumble
Operation Rumble is Thames Valley Police’s response to tackling animal rights activism.
Like many other police forces, Thames Valley Police has a coordinated response to animal rights protests. Thames Valley Police has a unit in place which investigates animal rights activism.
The unit:
- Provides staff for Operation Rumble activities.
- Investigates crime associated with animal rights activism.
- Provides visible policing at animal rights protests, making sure that any protests are safe and lawful.
- Offers reassurance and advice to victims or potential victims of animal rights activism.
- Works closely with colleagues from other police forces and specialists from national police units.
- Along with other police forces and national police units, makes sure that animal rights incidents are recorded, that information is shared and that those people at risk are kept informed and given practical advice.
- Is contributing to the national understanding and police response to animal rights activism.
