Gone Too Far film competition

Your vote is needed as the top two entries in the ‘Gone Too Far’ film competition are now loaded on YouTube and put to a public vote.

The Gone Too Far film competition was launched by Thames Valley Police, Hampshire Constabulary and NHS South Central. It ran across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight throughout the summer.

The public are being asked to vote for the film entry they think is the best. Voting started on Wednesday 14 October and is open for two weeks, until 28 October. The winning film will be made into a professional-quality short film.

'Gone Too Far' on Facebook

An exclusive Facebook page for students taking part in the film competition has been set up. You can access the videos via the Facebook page.

The competition is aimed at young people aged between 13 and 15 years from schools across the region. Students were invited to submit a two-minute amateur film to show how underage drinking could lead to anti-social behaviour and result in young people becoming a victim or perpetrator of crime.

Tackling anti-social behaviour is a key issue for both Hampshire Constabulary (opens new window) and Thames Valley Police. Thames Valley Police is currently running ‘Operation Confidence’, a campaign focused on tackling anti-social behaviour.

‘Gone Too Far’ aims to highlight the effects of underage drinking and anti-social behaviour. It builds on the success of the ‘One Too Many’ film competition, held last year among University students.
