Policing Pledge
The Policing Pledge is our pledge to you.
Thames Valley Police is committed to the national Policing Pledge which sets out what you can expect from your police force.
It outlines minimum standards of service that you can expect from the police and the ways in which you can find out more about what we are doing.
The Pledge requires us to meet service standards in areas such as the availability of officers, response times for emergency and non-emergency calls as well as keeping communities updated with information about crime and what happens to people brought to justice.
All police forces across England and Wales have committed to meet the promises contained in the Pledge, which took effect in December 2008.
Crime and anti-social behaviour leaflet
Do you know your rights beyond 999? The leaflet below tells you what you can expect from the police and others when it comes to crime and anti-social behaviour.
It tells you what rights you have under the national Policing Pledge, and provides local contacts for police, anti-social behaviour coordinators, victim and witness services and how to nominate Community Payback projects.
