Making a complaint
Thames Valley Police takes complaints very seriously.
Complaints about the service delivery of Thames Valley Police – for example, response to incidents, policies, allocation of resources across geographical areas - are dealt with by our Quality of Service department. Complaints about the conduct of any individual serving with Thames Valley Police are dealt with by our Professional Standards department.
Alternatively, you can call to make a complaint – call 101, the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number, or write to:

Other ways to make a complaint
- Visit your local police station and ask to speak to a sergeant, inspector or supervisor. If none are available at that time, ask the front counter officer to make an arrangement for you to be contacted.
- You can also approach other agencies to make a complaint on your behalf – for example, Citizens Advice Bureaux (opens new window), Equality and Human Rights Commission (opens new window), a solicitor, other community groups, or any other person of your choice.
