Driving documents

Before you take a vehicle on the road, there are certain documents that you must have. Some documents are about you and others are about the use of your vehicle.

Directgov - Driver licensing

The Government's Directgov website can give you lots of information about driver licensing, including:

  • What vehicles you can drive and your obligations.
  • Applying for, changing or replacing your driving licence.
  • Driving in Great Britain using a foreign driving licence.
  • Driving in other countries using a Great Britain driving licence.
