Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Speeding.  this is an area of concern for the public; the Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to work alongside the Neighbourhood Action Group regarding roads in highlighted areas.  We wil continue to use Speed Indication Device checks and refer for Laser and Van speed checks when required.
  2. Litter and Dog Fouling. This is another concern for the public; issues are referred to the Community Wardens and we will monitor the situation whilst on patrol.
  3. Anti Social Behaviour. Youth provision is a priority as the Neighbourhood Action Group feels strongly that providing for the youth is the best tool to tackle perceived gangs of youths, which was a concern for the public. The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to respond to any Anti Social Behaviour reported to us and monitors groups when we are on patrol.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
