Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Anti-social Behaviour (ASB)
You said: this is a real concern in the area.
We did: the team has carried out numerous ASB Operations throughout the year. These have centred around known trouble hot spots like the Recreation Grounds in Carterton and Bampton and recreational areas in Burford. At this time and throughout the year instances of ASB have been low. We continue high visibility patrols around all of the areas and speak to many individuals whilst on these patrols. Those spoken to are receptive and polite, understanding the concerns of local residents. The team will continue to keep instances of ASB at as low a level as possible.
You said: Litter and Dog Fouling
You said: this is another concern for the public.
We did: the neighbourhood team has carried out an operation in an attempt to try and catch dog walkers leaving dog mess behind. The team has also liaised with West Oxfordshire Disstrict Council (WODC) Wardens and they have been monitoring the neighbourhood. We also liaise with WODS about litter and we have spoken to shop owners to remind them of thier responsibilities with regard to litter outside their premises.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
