Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

        PRIORITIES LAUNCHED IN FEBRUARY 2015

  1. Burglary (dwelling).   Is an issue on which residents would most like the police to continue to focus their resources and attention and is a widely expressed concern across the Riverside and Belmont area, especially All Saints Avenue. Burglary (non-dwelling), mainly from garden sheds, has also been raised as a concern.
  2. Speeding and dangerous driving: Specific locations raised by residents are town centre,Oldfield Road, Woodlands Park, Woodlands Park Avenue, Braywick Road, Alwyn Road, Ashcroft Road, Summerleaze Road, Ray Street, Ray Mill Road East, Blackamore Road, Bray Road
  3. Use of mobile phones whilst driving This has become a priority in Braywick Road and Summerleaze Road
  4. Parking / Road Safety. Specific issues of parking problems are being addressed together with the Royal Borough enforcement team. Queen Street, Courthouse Road, St marks Crescent, Norfolk Road have been an isue inthe last year and have been brought to our attention.Complaints over road safety and speeding  need to be reported and can then be dealt with. If you have concerns over speeding at a specific location we can work with you in relation to “Community Speed Watch”..The neighbourhood team will be conducting enforcement action across the area in response to these current priorities.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
