Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Drug Related Issues – Areas that have been identified as a priority are Wycliffe End and Whitehill Park.  Patrols have been continuing and a number of people have been detained and arrests made.
  2. Burglaries - The Neighbourhood Team are carrying out a crime prevention operation to prevent burglaries happening over the forthcoming months.  Patrols are continuing and properties identified that could be potential burglary targets and advice given to those residents, such as using timer switches, keep bins locked away.  Patrols have continued with the nights staying lighter for longer and people leaving windows open.  A number of residents have been given advice regarding security of their homes.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
