Buckingham and District neighbourhood
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
- Drug Usage - The use of illegal drugs continues to be a high priority for the Neighbourhood Police Team. We are continuing to work hard to disrupt the drug users and dealers in the local area and are seeing a reduction in the amount of people being arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an illegal substance. If you are concerned about a friend or family member using or supplying these substances please call 101 and ask for the local Neighbourhood Police Team. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously.
- Burglary to dwellings - With the darker evenings and longer nights drawing in there has been a rise throughout September in burglary dwellings in Buckingham and the surrounding area. If you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area please report it to the police. Our increased patrols in the area will hopefully help us catch who is responsible for these crimes. There has also been a rise burglary non-dwelling. This sort of crime includes sheds and garages being broken into. High value items like bikes and power tools appear to be targeted this month so please make sure you do your best to protect your belongings and stop yourself being a victim of crime.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
