Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Drug Usage - Throughout April the team have been continuing their work to reduce the amount of drug related crime in the Buckingham and District Area.  3 x males were issued cannabis warnings for being in possession of cannabis.  This cannabis is then seized and destroyed by the police.  1 x male was arrested and is currently on bail on suspicion of being in possession of cannabis.  2 x males are on bail on suspicion of being in possession of a class A drug, and 1 male is on bail on suspicion of being in possession of a class A drug with the intent to supply.
  2. Burglary  - Over the month of April we have experienced 1 burglary dwelling offence and 6 burglary non-dwelling offences; this includes any attempts of these offences. The majority of these crimes are occurring in the villages surrounding Buckingham. The team are conducting patrols around these locations in order to reassure and reduce these offences.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
