Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Drug Usage  - The use of illegal drugs continues to cause the local Neighbourhood Police Team a great deal of concern. We have received a number of calls concerning the supply and use of a variety of known and relatively new substances that are currently available in the area and surrounding villages.
  2. Burglary to dwellings  - Over the past month we have seen a reduction in burglary dwellings in Buckingham and the surrounding area. This doesn’t mean as the local neighbourhood team we are going to take our foot of gas with this priority and we will continue to patrol in a proactive manner targeting these offences in an aim reduce them further.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
