Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Drug usage - Buckingham is still a target for drug use and supply and the team have made numerous arrests following the supply and use of Cannabis and MCAT. The team are actively working on who is supplying the young people, gathering intelligence on who is dealing, when and where locations flagged, warrants have been executed and arrests have been made.
  2. Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) - ASB this issue was raised at the NAG and was to include  noise issues when people are walking home after a night in the town drinking, as the sound travels across the old town causing disturbance to the residents.
  3. Burglary to dwellings - is still also a team priority although we have had a drop in the reported incidents for this month. We still have dedicated patrols working through the night to ensure that there is a high visible presence in the area. A local 26 year old male has been charged with an offence of burglary dwelling in Buckingham and is due to appear in court next month.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
