Great Brickhill, Wing and Ivinghoe District neighbourhood
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
1. Burglary dwelling - Burglary remains top of the list as a priority for the team. Burglary patrols are ongoing as part of our daily patrols and both reactive officers and neighbourhood officers are conducting patrols on a daily basis. If you see a member of the team please come and have a chat. We’d happily give you any advice.
2. Theft from motor vehicle (TFMV) - TFMV has increased in the last month with some cars being targeted but mainly work vans, the offenders are stealing expensive tools. Operation ABSCIND is currently running to try and prevent further offences and apprehend the offenders.
Many people have been leaving vehicles insecure please check that you vehicle is locked, and if you can please remove tools and expensive items. Also if you have a van try and park in a place which is well lit or up to a fence/wall to prevent the back door of a van being forced opened.
Most importantly please report suspicious people and vehicles noting the make/model of the vehicle and registration numbers (if possible), as on many occasions following house to house enquiries people have often seen the offenders in the street and not called us.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
