Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Burglary dwelling - Both reactive officers and Neighbourhood officers are conducting patrols on a daily basis. If you see a member of the team please come and have a chat. We will happily give you any advice on home security. Please report any suspicious activity seen and help us prevent burglaries and catch the offenders. The winter months traditional see an increase in burglary due to longer hours of darkness.
  2. Theft from motor vehicle (TFMV) - We have had a few thefts of front and rear number plates, if this happens to you please report it to us as they may be used in crime. Also you can fit anti theft screws to help prevent this, order them online or ask a local officer. We are still seeing TFMV’s were vehicles have been left insecure or valuables are on show. Most importantly please report suspicious people and vehicles noting the make/model of the vehicle and registration numbers where this is possible, it’s better if we can catch them in the act or before they commit the crime as witnesses etc are hard to find in these locations.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
