Local Policing Area commander - Wokingham

• Chief Inspector Christian Bunt joined Hampshire Police in 2000 where he served in Farnborough and Aldershot as a response officer and then on the area proactive team. He transferred to Thames Valley Police in November 2002 where he was stationed at Abingdon. In 2003, Christian was promoted to Sergeant on Oxford police area serving in various roles including patrol, custody and neighbourhood. In 2005, he was promoted to Inspector at Abingdon, as a sector Inspector responsible for the Abingdon area and also performed the role of duty Inspector for Oxfordshire County. Christian spent two years in HQ roles as the Diversity Manager and then the Home Office project Operation Quest. The latter involved working throughout the Force and implementing Quest work streams. Christian was promoted to Chief Inspector in 2008 and took on the role of Force Training Manager. In October 2010, he became Local Police Area Commander for Wokingham. He is also an accredited Public Order and events Commander, which involves commanding at large events such as Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta and Reading Festival.
