The west Reading neighbourhood policing team are holding a fund raising event to help the people of Haiti who have been devastated by an earthquake.
The team, who cover the neighbourhoods of Southcote, Tilehurst East and Norcot, will be at ASDA, in Honey End Lane on Saturday (13/2) taking it in turns on exercise bikes.
Police Community Support Officer Amelia Sergent, who organised the event, said: “We will all be doing half an hour stints on the equipment, which has been lent to us by Fitness First, and for each stint we do we will be donating £2 to the cause.
“Members of the public can also use the equipment if they make a donation or they can donate some money, watch us struggle, and walk away with a Thames Valley Police crime prevention pack.”
The team will be at the store from 9am – 7pm.
