Burglary – Abingdon

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Frilford Heath, Abingdon.

At 4.45pm on Wednesday (18/1), a house in Oxford Road was targeted by offenders. The alarm system was activated when the front door was forced open; the offenders then forced a second door leading to a room and conducted an untidy search of the property.

Items stolen include; a 24inch Apple iMac A1225 computer, serial number W874707SX8A; a pearl necklace; a Tissot T-Touch watch; 12 bottles of Vouvay Petillant Huet 2005 sparkling wine; four bottles of Chassenay d’Arce Champagne; two bottles of Taittinger Champagne; and a Japanese ornamental box with three drawers.

Det Con David Evans, of Abingdon Local CID, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around the time of the incident.

“Vouvay Petillant Huet 2005 sparkling wine is quite rare, so if you have been offered this or any of the other items, you should contact police.”
