Illegal tipping

Illegal tipping (‘fly tipping’) is an issue that the police do not deal with. Please report illegal tipping to your local council.

Local authorities, Environmental Health, and the Environment Agency have powers in the prevention and enforcement of fly tipping.

In order to proceed with fines, evidence is vital. Please take note of any vehicles involved and keep any material that could be identified – for example, letterheads.
