• If someone makes an offer that sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
• Before buying anything, entering any competitions, or becoming a club member through the Web, ask your parents, guardians or teachers about whether it is safe to enter.
• Avoid chat rooms unless they are monitored for bullying and inappropriate behaviour.
• Never arrange to meet online friends offline without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Always be yourself and never pretend to be someone you are not.
