By seeking early support and advice after experiencing a serious sexual assault, this may reduce the long-term effects which can be attributed to this type of crime.

Although a Specially Trained Officer will provide suitable advice and support, it is advisable to seek further support and counselling, as well as a visit to the local sexual health clinic.
