Wednesday 18 November 2009, 4:45pm

A debate on alcohol issues called the ‘Big Drink Debate’ is being held in Oxford on the evening of Thursday 19 November.

The event aims to gather views and opinions and use them to form a Big Drink Debate manifesto which will inform future alcohol priorities across the South East.

Chaired by broadcaster Nicky Campbell, the event takes place from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at Oxford University Museum of Natural History. All are welcome to attend.

Inspector John Fox, alcohol and violent crime coordinator for Thames Valley Police, will be on the expert panel which will include representatives from health and the drinks industry.

The event is being led by NHS South Central, NHS South East Coast and the Government Office for the South East, with close involvement from Thames Valley Police, Hampshire Constabulary, the drinks industry, retailers and universities.
