CCTV released following sexual assault – Oxford

Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images in relation to a sexual assault in Oxford.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was at the O2 Academy, Cowley Road, at about 1.30am on Thursday 3 November.

She was on the ground floor dance floor close to the stage when she was sexually assaulted by a man.

The offender is white, about 6ft, in his late teens to mid twenties, of medium build and has mousey or brown coloured hair with a quiff and short sides. He was wearing a blue long-sleeved top and dark trousers.

Investigating officer, Det Con James Macaro of Force CID, said: “We are appealing directly to the people in the CCTV images to please contact Thames Valley Police as we believe they are potential witnesses to the incident.

“Alternatively, if you know the people in the CCTV or have any other information about the incident please call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101.

“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
