Friday 20 November 2009, 4:16pm

A Chalfont St Peter youth has begun a four year prison sentence today (20/11), for beating his stepfather with a baseball bat.

The boy, aged 17, was found guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court of grievous bodily harm with intent to endanger the life of his stepfather during a dispute last year.

The incident took place in Lovell Road, Chalfont St Peter on 17 June, when a fight broke out between the two and the youth attacked his stepfather with a bat.

The victim was found in a neighbour’s garden having fled the scene and when taken to Wexham Park Hospital it was discovered he had sustained broken fingers, a broken arm, four broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Det Con Rachel Huggins led the investigation. She said: “I am extremely pleased with the result as the victim sustained terrible injuries. I would like to thank the community for providing us with great assistance throughout this case.”
