Police appeal for witness after man discovered in road – Reading – Update

Thames Valley Police can confirm that a 24-year-old man found with serious head injuries in a road in Reading has now died.
Marek Szewczyk, from Body Road, Reading, died on Wednesday (3/3) at the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford, as a result of his injuries.
Police are treating his death as unexplained.
Deg Sgt Dave Turton, from Reading CID, said: “We continue to keep an open mind about this incident and how the man suffered his injuries.
“We carried out anniversary checks on the Castle Street roundabout on Friday, a week after the incident, and we spoke to a number of people. However, we still need more witnesses to come forward.”
The man was discovered in the road at around 10.15pm on 26 February.

* Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident. A 24-year-old man from Tadley, Hampshire, and a 26 year old man from Reading have been released on bail to return to Loddon Valley on 6 April.
