Man charged with making hoax calls - Newbury

Thames Valley Police has charged a 23-year-old man with making hoax calls to the emergency services.
Lewis Atkins, of Thorpe Street, Ashton Upthorpe, Didcot, has been charged with persistently making use of the communication network to cause annoyance/inconvenience/anxiety.
The charge relates to a series of calls made to police on Sunday 18 November 2012 giving details of ongoing incidents in the Newbury area, which turned out to be false.
Atkins is due to appear before Newbury Magistrates’ Court on 6 February.
