Affray - Witney

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault in Witney on Thursday (31/01).

In the early hours of the morning, (12.15am), a 33-year old man was walking his bicycle from Corn Street into Swan Court, Witney when he was assaulted.  

The offenders, who were white, were aged between 18 and 20-years-old. They approached the victim, demanded his bicycle and when the victim refused, they assaulted him.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and shoulder and was treated at the scene by paramedics. One of the offenders sustained a cut to his finger during the incident.

Investigating officer PC Petra Summers is appealing for anyone who witnessed the affray, or who has information which could assist the inquiry, to come forward on the non-emergency number 101.
