Man charged with grievous bodily harm with intent – Witney

Thames Valley Police has charged a man with grievous bodily harm with intent following a fight in Witney.

Police were called to The Red Lion Hotel in Corn Street at 12.34am yesterday (27/4) after reports that a fight had taken place.

The victim, a man in his twenties, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries. He is in a serious but stable condition.

David Hopkins, aged 39, of Milton-under-Wychwood, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He is due to appear at Banbury Magistrates’ Court this morning (28/4).
