A man has been sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for a burglary in Oxford.
Adam Kupka, aged 26, of Banbury Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court yesterday (30/4) and was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment. He was also ordered to pay £400 to the victim.
The charge related to an incident in November 2013, when Kupka burgled a house in Harpsichord Place, Oxford and stole £400 from the property.
Det Con Emma Thompson, investigating officer, said: “Burglary is an unpleasant crime, which leaves victims out of pocket and anxious.
“Tackling and disrupting criminals who prey on our communities in Oxford is a priority. This is the latest in a series of good results and we are determined to continue to work with other agencies and the communities of Oxford and surrounding areas to do all we can to prevent criminals operating in Oxford while targeting those who do.
“In terms of the prison sentence, justice has been served and the victim can now move on with their lives.”
