Fatal collision – M40

Emergency services are currently on the scene of a fatal collision on the M40 and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Police were called at 11.20am this morning (13/6), to reports of a collision on the southbound carriageway of the M40, just before junction 9 between a car and an artic lorry.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and one other occupant of the vehicle has been airlifted to hospital.
The southbound carriageway is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which may help officers with their investigation should contact police via the non-emergency Police Enquiry Centre on 101, quoting URN 559 13/6.
