Assault occasioning GBH - Oxford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Oxford last night (8/7).
The incident happened at about 9.10pm outside the Simpli Fresh shop in Cowley Road.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was inside Simpli Fresh when he was called outside by another man.
He was attacked by the man before a third person intervened.
The offender then fled the scene and the victim realised he had been injured.
He was taken to hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound. His injury is not thought to be life-threatening.
There have not yet been any arrests.
Investigating officer, Det Insp John Turner, from Oxford Force CID, said: “We believe the victim was known to the offender and this may have been a targeted attack.
“Officers are conducting enquiries today and remain in the area to reassure members of the community. If anyone has any concerns or questions, please feel free to approach officers.
“I am appealing for witnesses who saw the incident to come forward to ensure we find the offender and bring him to justice. Violence like this will not be tolerated in our community.”
