Purse stolen during snatch theft - Abingdon

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old woman had her purse stolen on the corner of Gainsborough Green and Reynolds Way.

At 3.40pm on Tuesday (1/7) the victim was walking to the shops when a man approached her and asked to borrow 20 pence.

As the victim took her purse out to give the offender the money he snatched her black and white coloured purse and ran off with it in the direction of Saxton Road.  

The offender is white, of medium build, with black hair and wearing a black T-shirt.

Anyone with information should contact PC Jonathan Simpson of Abingdon police station via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
