Supermarket break-in - Chipping Norton

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a burglary at supermarket in Chipping Norton in the early hours of this morning (18/8).

Officers were called to the Sainsbury’s supermarket in Market Place shortly before 2am after reports of a break-in.

Offenders have made their way into the store and stolen a large quantity of cigarettes from behind the till, before leaving the scene.

PC Simon Warn, investigating the incident, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Chipping Norton area at this time, who may be able to provide us with information about this incident.

“Did you see anyone around the area acting suspiciously or anyone leaving the area? If so, then please get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information about this incident should call the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
