Appeal for witnesses after robbery - Oxford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a newsagents in Oxford.

At around 12.50pm yesterday (26/8), a man entered Bridge Stores in Meadow Lane and threatened a member of staff.

He demanded money but the staff member, a woman in her forties, managed to run into another room and the offender left the store without taking anything.

The offender was white, aged his early twenties, around 5ft 6ins tall. He was wearing a thick black hood and a black knee-length coat, with dark coloured trousers.

It is thought he may have been armed with a knife.
