Tuesday 02 September 2014, 10:20am

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a business premises in Thorney Leys Park, Witney last Wednesday (27/8).

An alarm at the property was activated at 10.07pm, after offenders smashed the back door to the office and stole a free standing safe from inside. The safe contained a reel of cobalt covered wire.

PC Lisa Chapman, investigating the incident, said: “The safe is very heavy and would have needed more than one person to lift it. I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious people or vehicles in the area to contact me via the non-emergency number, 101.”
