Burghfield neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Speeding in Burghfield. Reading Road from the roundabout to Burghfield village - the limit goes from 30 mph to 40 mph. Clay Hill Road to Sulhampstead Road - the limit is 50 mph.
  2. Speeding in Beech Hill. Motorists exceed the 30 mph speed limit on Beech Hill Road which goes through the village to the M4 and Reading from South areas.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
