Loughton neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Traffic issues when parents collect children from school, blocking residents' drives, parking on bus stops and general lack of parking space around Holmwood School, Great Holm
  2. Anti-social behaviour. Groups of young people congregate outside Great Holm shops; V4 underpass, Millenium Meadow and Loughton Valley Park causing nuisance to residents.
  3. Litter. Rubbish and litter affecting the area around Great Holm shop, in particular on Highgrove Hill.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
