Wood Farm / Girdlestone neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Drugs. This is both drug dealing and people taking drugs in public places.
  2. Anti-social behaviour. Large groups of young adults congregating, particularly in Atkyns Road and Leiden Road.
  3. Parking. The main problem has been identified as people parking obstructively outside Wood Farm school at busy times.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
