Superintendent Rob France

Superintendent Robert France joined Thames Valley Police in 2004. In April 2016 he took on the role of LPA Commander for the newly merged Bracknell and Wokingham local police area, following just over three years as LPA Commander for Wokingham. He has worked in a variety of uniform and investigative operational roles, mainly in the Oxford area. In 2010 he was part of the small project team which supported Thames Valley Police through the Force restructuring (Local Policing Model) project, part of the Force’s strategy to address tightening policing budgets while protecting front-line delivery.

Chief Inspector David Gilbert - Deputy Local Policing Area commander

David Gilbert

Chief Inspector David Gilbert joined the Metropolitan Police in 1985, serving for 12 years in the MET in uniform and in central London squads. He transferred to Thames Valley Police in 1997 on promotion to Sergeant and has worked across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire in various roles. For over four years he worked at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead where he was heavily involved in the management of many ceremonial occasions. In January 2013, David was appointed LPA Commander for Bracknell Forest and in April 2016 he took on the role of Deputy LPA Commander for the newly merged Bracknell and Wokingham LPA.
