Arborfield / Barkham neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Speeding. Exceeding the 30mph on the A327, Sindlesham Road, Mole Road, the B3030 and Reading Road A327. Barkham Street, Bearwood Road; morning traffic exceed 50 mph.
  2. Highway maintenance including flood prevention drainage along Bearwood Road at junction with Highlands Avenue, pavement on A327 forces pedestrians into the road.
  3. Fly-tipping. The situation around Common Field Lane has improved but there are parking issues on Swallowfield Road and Bearwood Road junction with Highlands Avenue.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
