Buckingham North neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Road safety issues. Speeding and Parking issues are still one of the main issues reported to us. We are conducting operations and working with partners to tackle the specific problems in each village. We also work closely with the parish councils to address the issues reported in the best way.
  2. Non-dwelling burglaries and farm thefts. This remains a focus for us covering such a rural area and seeing the effect these offences have to you and your businesses. High visibility patrols and stop checking suspicious people and vehicles is a key way for us to prevent offences and identify possible offenders. Force wide operations are continuing to combat this as well as working closely with our neighbouring forces.
  3. Crime Priorities - Dwelling burglary and vehicle crime. Seasonal operations have begun to target burglary of homes in the warmer weather and vehicles that are targeted when left at beauty spot locations around our neighbourhood. Crime prevention education is key to reducing these offences.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
