Reading Central neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Alcohol-related anti-social behaviour. Rowdiness and alcohol-related disorder in areas around Friar Street, Hosier Street, Fobney Estate and Sackville Street.
  2. Drugs taking and dealing are concerns in the St Marys Butts area, outside St Marys Church and graveyard, Friar Street and footpath near to Salvation Army.
  3. Parking and Litter. Issues in Luscinia View and Napier Road have been raised by residents and the team are working with others towards a solution.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
