Oakfield / Bierton neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Speeding on Douglas Road and Burcott Lane. Rush hour commuters use these roads as a cut through. We have been using the Speed Indicator Device (SID) and have carried out several speed enforcement operations, issuing Fixed Penalty Notices resulting in individuals having their driver’s licences endorsed with points.
  2. Parking Outside Broughton School on Broughton Avenue and Narbeth Drive. Parents park inconsiderately outside Broughton School when dropping their children off at school and picking them up, causing problems outside the school and surrounding streets.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
