Faringdon / Buscot / Coleshill neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Rural Crime. Due to the very isolated location of farm outbuildings throughout the Vale of the White Horse the area is being targeted for theft of plant and diesel. There are also thefts of Landovers and 4x4 vehicles.
  2. Raves and illegal music gatherings. These events cause damage to crops and buildings, they create noise nuisance and have a major impact on the quality of life for residents. Drug taking is common at such events with people often driving under the influence and commit other offences.
  3. Anti-social behaviour. Anti-social use of motor vehicles and anti-social gatherings at shop in Southmoor and the Millennium Green in Kingston Bagpuize and Stanford in the Vale. Police continue to patrol the areas while engaging with offending groups

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
