Finchampstead neighbourhood
Local priorities
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
- Anti-social behaviour. The California Crossroads area has been identified by the neighbourhood team where young people congregate and the parks around Gorse Ride North where there is underage drinking. They make noise and nuisance in the area. Mini motos are being ridden illegally in the Gorse Ride Estate area.
- Speeding. Residents perceive that motorists exceed the 30mph speed limit near Nine Mile Ride and on the Finchampstead Road, causing danger to other road users.
- Parking. Residents have complained about parking in the area of St James Road and on the McCarthy Way Estate area. The residents state it is hard to pass vehicles that are parked too near to junctions. Gorse Ride North junction is also an area where parking is an issue.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
