Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Criminal damage. Incidents have involved damage to vehicles around Swabey Road, Verney Road, Ives Road and other areas south of the memorial park.
  2. Drugs. Residents have complained about drug dealing and taking in Meadow Road and in some areas of Merrymakers. This happens on stairwells of flats, the car park and garage blocks.
  3. Anti Social Behaviour.   Around the Trelawney Avenue shops, the flats above and the flats opposite.  Groups of youths are standing in the stair wells and balconies, shouting and being abusive and causing intimidation to the residents.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
