Swallowfield neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Waste Management. Fly-tipping in Cutbush Lane and Downham Court, also on the lanes between Riseley and Swallowfield. Litter in Frensham Green and on lanes around Swallowfield Village. Dog fouling in Montgomery Drive and waste collection is a concern on The New Shinfield Park Estate.
  2. Anti-social behaviour. This includes anti-social use of vehicles and mini-motorbikes on the Shinfield Rise Estate, especially on weekends and warmer evenings.
  3. Traffic issues. Speeding and poor roads infrastructure, particularly Oatlands Road and Hollow Lane. The Blackboy roundabout has issues with queuing traffic in the evening peak times. Parking is a concern around the Coombes School, Farley Hill School and on football match days.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
