Wantage West neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Increased police presence and anti-social behaviour. Communities have asked to see more police around to tackle anti-social behaviour in Millbrook Square and Smiths Wharf.
  2. Increased street lighting would increase public safety in some areas. No specific hotspots have been identified so far.
  3. Speeding. Residents complain about speeding motorists driving through the A415 and A417.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
