Watermead neighbourhood
Local priorities
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
- Traffic Related Issues - Speeding is still an issue and Watermead still have a problem even with the installation of the traffic calming island. Thames Valley Police are currently in consultation with the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG), parish council and local council to try and install its ‘30 for a reason’ signs. It has also been higlighted that there are problems with vehicles travelling across from Buckingham Park to avoid qeuing at the lights. The vehicles are then turning and using the slip road. This will be monitored and a plan of action based on results arranged.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
