Blackbird Leys neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Drugs. The “Top Shops”, Ashmole Place and Blay Close are some of the areas identified as ‘hot spots’ for dealing drugs. Windrush Tower has been identified as an area for drug use.
  2. Anti-Social Behaviour. Groups of young people around the Ozone complex, the “Top Shops” and Windrush/Evenlode Towers create general nuisance which residents find intimidating and disruptive.
  3. Parking. Concerns have been raised on parking outside and around schools on the estate, especially outside Windale School whilst the building work is being carried out.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
