Kidlington Rural South neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Rural Crime. Rural Crime remains an issue in some of our communities due to the very isolated locations within our area. Theft of oil, farm machinery, horse tack and poaching are some issues being reported. The neighbourhood team will address all reported issues.
  2. Theft of Metal. These types of thefts have been on the rise for some time now due to the rising prices of metal. With many churches and households being affected. Police will work with the community to deal with all reported instances of these crimes.
  3. Burglary (All types). We will be focusing on reducing all types of burglaries in the area by providing crime prevention advice to ensure that residents, their homes and property do not become targets. We will be conducting high visibility patrols in problem areas.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
