Kidlington Village neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Burglary. We as an area are fortunate not to see many instances of Burglary reported, but we still must remain focused on keeping our homes and out buildings secure. Keep windows locked when you are going out and help us by remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious behaviour or activities.
  2. Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Drugs. ASB was a concern of residents when recently surveyed. Even though reported crimes have dropped we are still focusing our patrols in hotspot areas and dealing robustly with offenders. Drugs remain an ongoing issue in the village. We have carried out a number of successful raids and enforcement patrols and will continue to do so in order to tackle this issue that blights our communities.
  3. Metal Thefts. These types of thefts are on the rise due to the increase in the price of metal. We will be working with the rural communities who are particularly affected by this type of crime to deal with any suspicious activity or vehicles reported to us.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
